DAYBREAK

Daybreak is the candle of morning.

It lives in that first, quiet part of the day. The light is clean, the air still feels cool, and everything carries a sense of possibility simply because it hasn't yet begun.

Neroli and petitgrain bring brightness without sharpness. Lavender softens the edges, creating a scent that feels clear, calm, and open. Like fresh air moving through a room that is only just waking up. It doesn't rush you. It opens the day gently.

On the reverse: "I radiate light and possibility."

This is a candle for slow starts. For making space before the day fills it.

Scent notes: Neroli · Petitgrain · Lavender

Burn time: Approximately 50 hours with proper care.

Made with: Natural soy wax and pure essential oils · Raw nude ceramic vessel handmade in Stoke-on-Trent, made to be kept · Hand-poured in small batches in Surrey

Candle care: Before each burn, check the wick is upright and free of charred fragments, snapping or trimming any away so it's no longer than 5mm. On the first burn, let the wax melt fully to the edges, usually 2 to 3 hours, to prevent tunnelling. Keep it out of draughts, never leave it burning unattended, and burn on a heat-safe surface.

Frequently Asked Questions

What wax is used?

All Lil & Dot candles are hand-poured using natural soy wax — a cleaner, slower-burning alternative to paraffin, with a softer scent throw that builds gradually rather than filling a room all at once.

What is the vessel made from?

Each candle is housed in a raw nude ceramic vessel, handmade and designed to remain beautiful long after the candle has burned down. Keep it as a vessel, a bud vase, or a small storage pot.

How long does each candle burn?

Approximately 40 hours with proper care. Trim the wick to 5mm before each burn and allow the wax to pool to the edges on the first light.

Are they suitable as gifts?

Every candle arrives gift-ready. No additional wrapping needed.

Where are they made?

The candles are hand-poured in small batches in the UK by our makers. The ceramic vessels are handmade. The collection is designed by artist Heather Wood.

How many are available?

This is a small first run, hand-poured in limited numbers. Once they're gone, the next batch depends on production of new vessels. If you'd like to be first to know about restocks, join the Lil & Dot Circle.
